The FASS Fuel Systems Extreme Water Separator Filter (XWS1002) is designed for high-performance diesel engines, rated at 600-1500 HP. This upgraded separator is now more efficient than ever, offering a 2-micron absolute filtration rating. The filter element now traps water, eliminating the need for a drain, simplifying maintenance. The XWS1002 must be paired with the PF3001XL filter (sold separately), and cannot be used with the older FF-1003 or FS-1001 filters. When installing, ensure proper filter placement: the XWS1002 goes on the pressure side of the system, and the PF3001XL goes on the suction side. Please refer to the new filter location diagram for correct installation.
